💡 These guidelines aim to provide clarity and guidance about our L&D budget
What is an L&D budget and who gets one?
- It’s for you to use for your individual professional growth to hone your skills and support your career development. The budget isn’t for company or departmental wide training (such as Health & Safety), or, for learning a personal hobby, such as baking or shark taming.
- Everyone at CareScribe has £250 (excluding VAT) a year to spend on learning (YAY!)
- The L&D allowance runs in line with our financial year (May 1st - April 30th). This means you have between May and April each year to utilise your £250
That’s great! How do I access it and book onto things?
- Speak with your manager to discuss what you’d like to use the budget for and why.
- Manager has said go for it? Great! You can book on yourself.
- If a card payment is required, either your 1st line manager will have a company card, or your 2nd line manager. Ask your 1st line manager in the first instance.
- If you can book on without payment being required up front, please ensure all invoices are sent to [email protected]. Please ensure you’re clear which department you’re in. This goes straight to finance and they will ensure this is paid on time for you.
- Pop it in your calendar so your team knows where you’ll be and can plan around you being OOO.
